Meet JD, the vibrant force behind the enchanting world of 1010 Dance. As the founder, choreographer, and instructor of this empowering community, JD's journey began as a former gymnast who serendipitously discovered the art of Pole Dancing in 2012. Little did she know that this newfound passion would seamlessly weave together her lifelong loves of dance, performance, and gymnastics.
JD's dance odyssey has been marked by numerous accolades, including being a two-time winner of Miss Pole Dance ACT and earning a coveted spot as a finalist at Miss Pole Dance Australia. Her dedication and expertise were honed over five wonderful years teaching pole dancing at Trick Fitness in Canberra, where she fell head over heels for the mesmerizing world of "floorwork."
This love affair with dance and its transformative power led to the birth of 1010 Dance, a sanctuary where JD's vision of a supportive and encouraging space for all women could flourish. With a passion for cultivating a friendly and loving environment, JD envisions 1010 Dance as a haven where individuals can unleash their inner goddess through the art of sensual dance—free from the shackles of judgment.

BOXING
For 1 hour, JD will teach you;
• Punch. First and foremost, you need to know how to throw punches with the correct technique and form to have maximum impact, without injury
• Defence. To feel protected and safe through boxing, you don't only need to know how to hit properly, you also need to know how to not get hurt!
• Counter-punches. A fundamental boxing skill that allows you to defend an oncoming hit, while using that moment as an opportunity to land one back.
• Strength and Fitness. A good fighter is a fit fighter. Boxers are amongst the fittest athletes in the world, and to meet the physical requirements, you've got to have strength and fitness on your side.
Boxing is one of the best ways to get fit and strong, it's also a HUGE stress release.
JD, as you all know, is a non-judgemental coach and a huge advocate for female empowerment. She will make you feel safe in your skin, and encourage you to be a proud, strong woman.
PRIVATE LESSONS
JD has been a pole dancing instructor since 2014 and has a knack for breaking down movements in a way that makes it easier for you to learn. As an Elite, competitive pole dancer she can teach anyone from beginner, right through to professional and help you nail all of those trickty moves.
CHAIR DANCE WORKSHOPS
When a chair dance workshop pops up, head straight to the 'book now' button so you don't miss out.
1.5hrs of exotic chairdancing.
Bring your water bottle, knee pads and heels, and wear something saucy 😜 (Chairs will be provided).
Be prepared for fun and exhaustion all rolled into one. Chairdancing is a workout like no other!
Cost is $40 per person and payments are to be made in CASH ONLY on the day.

BOOTY AND THE BEAT
Booty workshops pop up occasionally and when they do, you do not want to miss out!
action-packed 1.5hrs of twerking, popping, hip-hopping, booty shaking floorwork! Always guaranteed to be heaps of fun, hard work and an awesome workout🙌
Bring your knee pads and plenty of fluids as these workshops are always one hell of a twerkout 🍑

FLEXIBILITY
While we can all dance without the aid of flexibility, what an aid it is! If you want to take your movement to the next level, developing your flexibility is the key. At 1010 we can provide one on one coaching to educate you on how to increase and maintain flexibility to improve your dancing.
